I read this article and it evoked so many memories! It pretty much describes how I got started with Linux, except that, in 2009, I went for Mandriva instead of Ubuntu or Debian, as the author did.

That article sums up my experience, too. It's incredible that people still mention in their comments that "Linux is for geeks and you have to learn new things" and they never say that with Windows and MS Office they had to do the same.
